The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

After the last 3 years- I made the decision to seek some mental health care. Per Dr. we will start with a low dose of anti- depression medicine. In a month we will do another visit.

I am going to do another step and start to keep a journal. If I still have the issue with dealing with grief, stress, etc. then I will step it up by going to a online therapy. Yes- online. I think I would be more at ease with a stranger, then someone in our small town. I know they have the whole client confidentiality, but I really don't want to run into them at Walmart and act all normal.

And I think I would open up to someone I know I will never meet in person.

I start the meds in the morning. Journal begins this weekend.

Mental Health to me, in my case, leads me to better things. Better body health as I, hopefully, will get back to working out in the morning. Better at handling the stress of being the caregiver to two family members. Better at my job. Better at life really, the lost of interest in what I always had taken pleasure in is gone. From the simple act of cleaning my cars, to camping outside. To enjoying mother nature.

March is spring. The earth is waking up. I feel, deep in my bones, that this will help wake me up as well. Fresh new beginnings.

BloodMoonMystic won the contest! We had a close call but the only other person who came close did not get the hardest clue.

But any contest is better then none.

My brother uses a portable oxygen machine. Its for when he goes out of the house, to travel with. Well about two months ago it developed a issue. Light comes on that says change cartilages. Then in about 30 minutes it shuts down.

Fast forward to today- 60 plus days later and we still don't have it fixed. They *meaning oxygen supply place* said it can not be replaced unless it is 5 years old. Ok- well it is. Then it's they can't replace it till 2027. Why? Because something to do with the paperwork from his lung dr. Seems his 'orders' for oxygen machines, both portable and home machine, renewed in 2022.

I pointed out if that was true he should of gotten a new portable in 2022. So just send me the new one that this new "orders" paid for by his Medicaid / Medicare approved.

Then its back to no, we can't do that. We can only offer repair. I try to explain that he has club fingers, he is unable to switch tanks out. Reason he got the machine to begin with back in 2017. Yes- 2017.

Asked if they grandfather in this machine that is, to date, 6 years old, and what they are saying needs to last another 4 years to take it to 2027. No, of course not. They don't grandfather any kind of machines in, once the new orders sent in.

AH HA! Got ya! Then did you charge his government insurance for a new machine, which he does not have???

That got the "I will have to research his account, call the local supplier for his order details. Blah blah, make me a peanut butter sandwich, blah." But they are to call me back.

All that only took me 3 hours on hold/ call.

Sure its going to be me turning over the machine, pick up tanks that I will have to change for him so keeping him close, wait to see if the machine can be repaired. If not a replacement will be order. Time frame? Weeks if they can repair, maybe up to a few months. Replace? High demand items, could be 4 to 6 months.

High demand? But you can buy one online for a few thousands.

I plan to wait, see if they call back this week. If not, I will call them again, waste a few more hours. If I am not happy with the answer to my request- I will start the calls to Medicaid / Medicare. See why they can explain why he has an 6 year old machine they will not replace. When his Dr. has put him on oxygen since 2016.

My mom, who is notorious for Getting Shit Done, would advise me to call every day/multiple times a day until i was satisfied with the results, so im passing it on to you. I really hope this gets straightened out super soon.

It got handled within 24 hours. Guess saying I'll call the insurance company and ask them why he can't get a new machine after 6 years. He has new machine on the way

Been reading some of the journals here. Some talk about how dead the site is. As I was reading those I was forced to remember why I came onto the site to start with. I mean... yeah, I made it as an Admin through the Twilight movies... but back, way back when?

Journals. I always like seeing into people lives. They took the time to share. So I am going to start taking the time to read, like I did close to 17 years ago.

And for those who worry about this kind of stuff: Its me reading, not a Master Vampire. Just a old lady from Kentucky, checking out your life. Seeing what you find worth sharing with people.

I give up. Well for today anyway. Spent 4 hours working on this profile. Almost have it the way I want but for one thing. So proud of myself for figuring out scroll boxes. Yeah ME! Only to be defeated by the font above the top one. I want it in the cursive font like the rest of the page not in those scroll boxes. Like the one on "Why Vampire Rave?"

Sure its something simple but my eyes have had enough for today.

Now if I can figure out how to make the font bigger in the center box, the description box so people can read it, I would be happy with you.

Happy Valentines Day! I usually do chocolate dip strawberries but not this year. I did white chocolate dip oreos cookies with pretty sprinkles.

My home and the homestead been decked out in some decorations for the holiday. Felt pink, red heart banners. Throw pillows on couches. Red flameless candles. Red silk roses in white vases. Small Valentines table top trees with red, pink lights. Shower curtain and wreath.

For the first time we left our flocked christmas tree up, decorated in snowflakes. White berries and red cardinals. I added felt hearts for Valentines. It's at the homestead and I see if several hours a day. Just some light in the darker winter months.

Sounds like a lot bt that is spread over 1 bedroom (sister's) , livingroom at homestead. My livingroom, bedroom, and master bathroom.

I'm just like my mother. She always becorated for holidays. Loved it as a child, and as a adult.

I LOVE to decorate as well! If I weren't away from home right now, I would have made and have hanging on my door a valentines wreath for sure.... who knows what else may have been out and about in the house as well.

Anyone else watching or paying attention to the Murdaugh case? Making me miss my sister so much. She went to law school for one year before she drop out.

She was always a super smart student, but decided she was out of her depth. But she always dream of being a prosecuting attorney. She fell back on her Bachelor degree. Ended up in the family business and it was never used.

She sat with my mother every day court was in session on our Aunt trial. It was a murder trial, and she later said she could never been able to do what the Florida state prosecution attorneys did.

But she and I would debate on known cases. OJ saw plenty of debate. As is the Murdaugh case. My sister, who also is her twin, have been going at it with me. We both will throw out how she would of loved this.

*looks upward* don't worry sis., I am giving her hell. But she hates when I use the line- If it doesn't fit, you must equity.

I have only recently learned of the case. So I've been trying to catch up on it. Life keeps me from watching a lot of TV and that's usually where my news comes from.

AMC movie theaters going to price movie tickets on locations of seat.

What do you think?

Yet another reason movie theaters will be a thing of the past. I mean it's cheaper now if you have a family, or even a couple, to just buy the movie.

But it's not the same as the big screen! True. But then sitting in my recliner, in my PJs. Lights out, fresh popcorn. No sticky floors. No crying babies, phones going off. No line for the bathroom as you miss 10 or 15 minutes of the movie


MY 5O inch flat screen with a theater sound system is just as good for me.
